Does the GMCP12RLD require installation?
Very little installation is required. Simply connect the supplied exhaust hose, fit the included sliding window kit and plug the unit into a standard household power outlet. Like all portable air conditioners, the warm air produced during cooling must be vented outside through the supplied exhaust hose. For homes with casement or other non-sliding windows, GMC Aircon also offers an optional Universal Window Seal Kit, specially developed for South African window styles.
Is the GMCP12RLD noisy?
Unlike split air conditioners, portable air conditioners contain the compressor inside the unit, so some operating noise is completely normal. The GMCP12RLD has been designed with an upgraded high-efficiency compressor and enhanced acoustic insulation, creating a more refined operating experience while maintaining powerful cooling performance. The unit has an operating noise level of approximately 45dB(A).
What size room can the GMCP12RLD cool?

Absolutely. The GMCP12RLD features 10,000 BTU heating capacity, making it ideal for year-round comfort. During Heating or Dehumidifying modes, the supplied drainage hose can be connected for continuous drainage if required.
Can I extend the exhaust hose?
No. The supplied 1.5m exhaust hose is designed to provide optimum airflow and cooling performance. Extending the hose may reduce efficiency, increase operating temperatures and could void your warranty.
Does the unit need to be drained?
During Cooling Mode, the self-evaporative system removes most condensation automatically. During Heating and Dehumidifying modes, you may occasionally need to empty the water tank or connect the supplied drainage hose for continuous drainage.
